Welcome to uvsity, an online educational social network with online learning platform. Uvsity cares about the confidentiality and security of your information. This Privacy Policy applies to information that Uvsity collects through Uvsity site when you access or use our services and interact with Uvsity users or members.

If you have any concerns about providing information to us or having such information used in any manner permitted in this Privacy Policy, you should not visit, access, use our services through our websites, apps or services.

If you do not accept the terms of this Privacy Policy, then please do not signup, access, browse, or register or enrol for any course on uvsity.com. If you choose not to provide certain information required to provide you with various products and services offered on the uvsity.com, then you may not be able to establish a user account or obtain those products or services.

Uvsity (“we” or “us”) can modify this Privacy Policy, and if we make material changes to it, we will provide notice through our Services, or by other means, to provide you the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. If you object to any changes, you may Delete your account on My Account Page.

You acknowledge that your continued use of our Services after we publish or send a notice about our changes to this Privacy Policy means that the collection, use and sharing of your personal data is subject to the updated Privacy Policy.

Information that Uvsity collects about you (including Personal Information):

Uvsity collects information when you register or signup or create an account with us. When you create an account you provide your name, address, email, education details, work experience, mobile number and password. When you subscribe for our any one of paid memberships or register for a course, you will need to provide payment and billing information.

We collect personal data from your profile such as photos, endorsements (ratings, recommendations), interests, work experience details, skills. It’s your choice whether to include sensitive information on your profile and to make that sensitive information public. Please do not post or add personal data to your profile that you would not want to be publicly available.

Uvsity does not itself collect or store financial account numbers or financial account information. Instead, if you choose to make a purchase on the Uvsity Site, for example a course or membership, you will be directed to Uvsity’s third-party payment processing site such as PayPal or we call their payment API with payment information you provide over secure HTTPS. If you do not wish to submit the required authentication or payment information, then you will not be able to purchase a course or subscribe for our services.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies:

We use cookies and other common Tracking Technologies on the Uvsity Site and in email communications to help our site better understand your use and need, current and future Uvsity services, and how we can improve to serve better.

For example: Based on your cookie settings, Uvsity tracks information indicating, among other things, which pages of the Uvsity Site were visited, the order in which they were visited, when they were visited, and which hyperlinks and other user interface controls were used. How do we use your information:

We use your data to authorize access to our services. We will use your data to help others to find your profile, friends connections you might be interested in, courses you might be interested in, notification to other users when you visit their profile based on your settings under my account.>

We will use your data in personalizing courses and inviting to create courses. We will use your data in communicating about our products and services and also in improving our services and features.

How we share your information:

Your profile will be visible to all our registered users as well as visitors to our services and third party search engines.

Your comments, posts and reviews will be visible to other users visiting those webpages.

We may share your Personal Data to the tutors or service providers (such web conferencing service providers) for courses that you register. As part of our Terms of Use, Uvsity tutors or course owners or training providers agree not to abuse other users' Personal Data. Abuse is defined as using Personal Data for any purpose other than those explicitly specified. However, please understand that course owners, Tutors, Training providers are not our employees or consultants and we are not responsible for any transaction between you and course provider. As a result, we cannot control their actions and cannot be held liable for any actions that they may take.

Your Obligations and Managing Personal Information:

We retain your personal data while your account is active. We will retain your information and keep your profile open until you decide to Close or Delete your account on “My Account Page”.

In some cases, we retain your personal data even after you have closed or delete your account if reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including law enforcement requests), meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our User Agreement, or fulfill your request to “unsubscribe” from further messages from us. We will retain de-personalized information after your account has been closed.

Information you have shared with others (such as through messages, emails, review comments, Topic Posts or comments, Course descriptions or updates) will remain visible to public users after you closed your account or deleted the information from your own profile or mailbox, and we do not control data that other Members copied out of our Services. Your profile may continue to be displayed in the services of others (e.g., search engine results) until they refresh their cache.

Other Information:

We use HTTPS, 256 bit encryption and firewall policies to protect your data. We regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, we cannot warrant the security of any information that you shared with us. There is no guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.

Your data will be processed in different regions of the world and rely on legally-provided mechanisms to lawfully transfer data across borders. We may store or process your data outside of your country.
